Stullenführer - Healthy Eating in School and Office

At lunchtime she has her big show: The Stulle! Almost one in two employed people (45 percent) uses bread, bread rolls or sandwiches during their lunch break. This is confirmed by a survey by the DAK. In addition, Klappstullen classics such as cheese or sausage breads also play an important role in the breakfast boxes of many schoolchildren. But Stulle is not just a stall - the DAK leader shows why.

From simple cuts to luxury tulle

A simple cut can easily be transformed into a "deluxe snack" with little effort and a little imagination.

First stage - the bread
Basis of every casserole and important carbohydrate supplier. Slice by slice, it delivers ballast and minerals. How healthy the bread variety is depends on its wholegrain content. DAK nutritionist Hanna-Kathrin Kraaibeek: "Inquire when purchasing whether the whole grain is processed, here store the most valuable ingredients, the more whole grain, the healthier." Also, the grains on the bread have it all: Sesame contains, for example, a lot of calcium. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds provide unsaturated fatty acids that have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system.

Clever bread covering
If you want to quench your hunger for a healthy diet, you should prove your cuddle cleverly. A balanced composition promotes concentration, fitness and a good mood. Lack of time leaves the DAK nutritionist does not apply: "Just 30 minutes are enough - for example, for the preparation of a homemade spread The time is also sufficient to eat and recharge your batteries."

Whether nut cream cheese or paprika cream: healthy ingredients make every bread faster - from rye crispbread to pretzel. Fresh herbs such as lemon balm or sprouts give the final flavor and vitamins.

Cheese box with a new base
Fans of classic cheese bread can often experiment with new variants. Instead of butter, low-fat spreads bring completely new taste sensations: how about, for example, sweetening sweet mustard, tomato paste or mango chutney among the favorite cheeses? Maybe this way: fig and grape in one, cheese in the other hand - the perfect trio is ready!

Look carefully at the sausage bread
When it comes to the sausage, it is crucial what is under the skin. Because not every sausage variety is healthy. Lean variants such as poultry sausage, salmon ham or corned beef conserve blood lipid levels and are better suited than meat or liver sausage. If you are tired of the sausage, you can fish for a change. The fatty acids from tuna or salmon are an important part of the nerve cell membranes in the brain: So keep gourmet even in the afternoon a clear head.

Cool folding cot for the break
Admittedly, it is not easy to convince schoolchildren of the benefits of a wholesome snack. What counts for small gourmets, however, are colorful colors, finger food and a lot of variety. If, for example, the cream cheese has a face made of chives, it convinces the little eater more than the reminder of the mom, but not to forget the school bread.

Ideal snack for the break

Ideally, the break snack consists of wholemeal bread, thinly sprinkled with butter or cream cheese and topped with cheese, lean ham or low-fat sausage. Variety also creates here from time to time a vegetarian spread. Yogurt, cottage cheese or milk drinks provide calcium and are a good source of the minerals magnesium, zinc and iodine. Packed in a colorful lunch box, the coolest steppke folding tins can be found!
